Elsinore

From Australian film and theatre director Simon Stone, and written by Stephen Beresford (Pride), Elsinore is the deeply emotional and stirring true story of gifted Scottish actor Ian Charleson, searingly played by Andrew Scott.

Facing his own mortality as he is dying from AIDS, Charleson delivers a courageous performance that becomes a source of healing and inspiration for those around him. Also starring Olivia Colman, Billie Piper, Johnny Flynn, Juliet Stevenson, Adeel Akhtar and Peter Mullan.

“There’s no artifice to Scott’s deeply felt performance despite being an actor playing an actor playing a character, he makes it all feel as real and as raw as it can be.” — Benjamin Lee, The Guardian
