Levitating

In a town where people find joy in possession, a young man aspires to become a trance party shaman to prevent his eviction.

After his first attempt ends badly, Bayu meets Laksmi, who agrees to help him become the town’s official spirit channeler. But time is running out: his father plans to sell their home to a developer exploiting the village’s sacred water. With blistering visuals and incredible sound design, Wregas Bhanuteja’s musical fantasy sees indigenous spirituality, tradition and capitalism collide.
