Prosecution

Winner of the Berlin Film Festival audience award, Faraz Shariat’s gripping and politically charged thriller follows German-Korean prosecutor Seyo Kim (Chen Emilie Yan) as she turns vigilante to confront far-right violence in eastern Germany.

After Seyo survives a racist attack, she defies orders and starts her own perilous investigation. When she brings one of her attackers to trial, she fights to expose him as part of a wider far-right network run with the complicity of the justice system itself.

“Prosecution is a gripping, badass, fascinating story about one woman getting justice at any cost.” — Alex Billington, First Showing
