Tender Loving Care

Mike Leigh has announced that Tender Loving Care is likely to be his last film and if so, it makes a beautiful swansong for one of the greatest British directors of all time.

It’s an uplifting and emotional family drama, about negotiating dramatic moments in ordinary lives. Amy is a dedicated child protection worker who deals with difficult family problems every day, but when she finds out her ageing father is having problems, she pulls together with her mother and best friend Rosie.
